Welcome to Walwa Bush Nursing Centre

The Walwa Bush Nursing Centre is the result of a redevelopment of the Walwa Bush Nursing Hospital. The hospital provided bed based services to our community for 80 years, until the beds were closed in a proactive effort to expand the services and provide our community with a quality health service it deserves. Following a complete infrastructural upgrade, the Bush Nursing Centre went from providing low level hospitalization only, to a complete range of primary health care services such as home care, district nursing, planned activity group, 24hr emergency first response, outpatient clinic, gym and gym programs, general practice, pharmacy, practice nursing services, a community centre, IT centre, on site WAW banking services, RUM radio, community car, meals on wheels, allied health services, case management, counseling and more.

The WBNC is also closely linked with adjacent Riverview units and a further 16 lot housing development -Mountainview –both providing independent living opportunities and aging in place for our community.
